About us:
"Compliance Group are an exciting new business with PE investment which is seeking a high calibre Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant with a strong administration background and high ambitions to join their team.
The business is growing at pace; this role will currently be responsible for one business within a division which contains 4 subsidiary businesses as part of the wider Group. An aggressive M&A strategy is in place, and it's projected to grow the division from £7-15m turnover on Dec 22 to >£45m in 2026. The Group has acquired 4 businesses in the last 8 months, including 2 in this division. In 5 years, we anticipate growing by 135m. It will present opportunities for personal progression and development."
Due to the nature of the team, everyone is a team player, supporting and helping each other, creating a friendly working environment. Reporting to the Finance Manager, working hours are 9 am until 5 pm, Monday to Friday onsite.
Accounts Assistant or Finance Assistant brief about the role:
- Working very closely with Accounts Payable, Accounts receivable and Credit Controller
- Understand the processes for each of the above departments and provide support/cover whenever required
- Taking care of administrative tasks, such as correspondence, filing and printing
- Managing important departmental deadlines
- Maintaining accurate and detailed customer records and creating new customer accounts
- Building a good rapport with clients and providing the accounting team with relevant information
- Completing daily and monthly bank reconciliations
- Collecting monthly direct debits and making payments
- Preparing and entering journals into the system
- Supporting the preparation of management accounts and month-end duties
- Monitoring daily communications and answering any queries.
- Working with spreadsheets, sales and purchase ledgers and journals.
About you:
- Effective communicator with a professional phone manner and comfortable interacting by telephone
- Self-motivated and focused with a flexible approach and ability to adapt to a continually changing environment
- Process-driven, organised and methodical in approach
Must have the experience required / Certifications Required:
Experience within a similar role
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £23,000.00-£26,000.00 per year
