Carbon60 are currently looking for a Finance Assistant to join an experienced British manufacturer working within the land drainage, flood defence and sewage industry. This is a permanent position that provides amazing opportunities.
This Bedford based company are looking for a Finance Assistant to join their diverse and ever-growing team to play a key part in the company.
This role will be based in Bristol at the Avonmouth site.
Work hours are : 37.5 hours per week 08:00-16:30 Mon-Thurs, and 08:00-13:30 Friday
Tasks include:
- Being responsible for day to day tasks in the finance department.
- Provide assistance in maintaining financial records and be first point of contact for supplier and customer queries/support.
- Chase missing invoices and ensure a weekly supplier payment run.
- Work closely with management to ensure that invoices / revenue forecasts are up to date and correct for forecasts.
- Raise invoices across the business and ensure that staff expenses are put onto their online system to ensure payments are made promptly.
- Reconciling the bank to the ERP systems daily, ensuring that data is kept up to date and that the system dashboards are kept live.
- Ensure that direct debits and standing orders are deducted correctly, liaise with suppliers and resolve and payment queries.
Requirements include:
- Have a proven track record in a similar role.
- Ideally hold an accountancy qualification (AAT, ACCA or CIMA)
- Have excellent attention to detail.
- Have great customer service skills and knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping procedures.
