Finance Assistant (part time/fixed term contract)
Salary: £26,000 per annum full time equivalent (pro-rata for part time)
Contract type/ hours: Fixed Term Contract or Secondment for 12 months; Part time, 2.5 days/17.5 hours per week
Location: Stratford, London (High flex – we’d expect you to be in the office 1 to 2 days a week)

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Finance Assistant on a part time basis for 2.5 days/17.5 hours per week to cover maternity leave for 12 months.
In this role you will provide finance and administrative support to the Business Operations Team.
What will I be doing?
  • Provide finance and administrative support for the Business Operations Team
  • Deal flow and contract compliance
  • Support with receivables, purchase orders, and patent fees
  • Maintain data integrity and update fields on our record management system (Minuet)
  • Support group inbox needs and manage internal and external stakeholder expectations
  • Design, draft and maintain processes and standard operating procedures (SOPs)
What skills are we looking for?
  • Experience of working within an administrative capacity for a team, ideally within finance
  • Effective at assisting with contract compliance with a variety of partners and stakeholders
  • Experience of managing multiple responsibilities and tasks
  • A strong working knowledge of Excel
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft Office
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and a team player
  • Good attention to detail
  • Willingness to support colleagues in a range of work
Desirable:
  • General understanding of scientific research and innovation environment including the pharmaceutical drug development process
  • Desire to gain an understanding of partnership deals involving commercialisation of intellectual property
