Pay Rate: £5.50 per hour plus £50 monthly bonus

The Role:
As Finance Assistant, you will work closely with the Senior Finance Officer supporting the day-to-day requirements on the designated portfolios and to achieve the departmental KPIs in line with the targets addressed weekly by the Senior Finance Officer.
This is an ideal opportunity for someone seeing an entry level position in Accountancy/Finance.
Your Duties:
Accounts Payable Procedure for you allocated portfolio:
· Monthly reconciliation of supplier accounts to statements in line with our no statement no payment policy, mitigating risk of erroneous payments
· Posting of invoices to the supplier ledger in Propman/Dwellant (MCP)
· Preparation of BACS files for payment run for sign off by the Senior Finance Officer
Treasury Procedure for your allocated portfolio:
· Posting of daily receipts
· Monthly bank reconciliations carried out within 15 working days post month end
· Resolution of any outstanding bank reconciliation items weekly, identifying unknown entries and working to allocate or refund the item as required
Other duties as required to include (but not exclusive to):
· Taking phone calls and liaising with stakeholders as necessary
· Managing the accounts inbox on designated days
· Resolving of accounts queries where applicable
· Maintaining/Updating the property management database as instructed
· Assisting with raising of demands
· Reviewing applicable procedures on an annual basis in line with company policy
· Updating procedures of working tasks as they change with processes and system implementations
Qualifications Required and Desirable Experience:
- GCSE A* to C in English and Maths – Essential
- Business Studies and/or Finance at GCSE / A Level / BTEC - Preferred
- Some administration experience - Preferred
- Knowledge of MS Office, including Word and Excel - Essential
- Great communication skills - Essential
Skills Required:
- Computer literate (experience with Microsoft Office essential)
- Working knowledge of office equipment, like printers and fax machines
- High level of attention to detail
- Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritise work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to manage workload and prioritise
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Able to get on with tasks without being asked and without requiring constant supervision
