We have an exciting opportunity for an individual who wishes to develop their career within an NHS finance function. You will gain valuable experience and knowledge whilst working towards the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship Standard. The job description attached will give you an overview of the tasks you will be trained to undertake by the end of the apprenticeship which will run over an 18-month period. The working hours are 37.5 hours per week. You will receive a comprehensive induction, full training and you will be provided with the support and guidance that you need to achieve success in a supportive, flexible and collaborative working environment. There will be many opportunities for development and progression, learning events and activities in the workplace which will support your professional and personal development. It is hoped that the successful post holder at the end of the apprenticeship will be in a position to be successful at applying for a substantive role and go on to further study should they wish too.
The ideal candidate must have a strong interest in Finance and a willingness to learn, strong numeracy, communication and organisational skills, be computer literate and have excellent attention to detail and accuracy. You must be able to use your own initiative as well as work as part of a team and under the supervision of senior colleagues, plan your own workload to ensure deadlines are met. You will need to be dedicated and actively engaged with all aspects of the study programme and submit work and assignments to the required standard within agreed deadlines.
