Finance and Office Manager

Permanent contract

22.5 hours per week - working pattern to be agreed

NHSN support flexible working, with some home-working along with some working in our office at Great North Museum: Hancock in Newcastle, North East England

£30,931 per annum, £18,559 pro rata

Location: NHSN office at Great North Museum: Hancock in Newcastle.

We are looking for a motivated first-class administrator and experience of managing budgets to join our team at the Natural History Society of Northumbria in Newcastle. You will need to be adaptable and flexible and the ability to provide business support and financial management information to the NHSN Director and trustees.

Established in 1829, the Natural History Society of Northumbria (NHSN) is one of the longest-running natural history societies in the UK. Our vision is that more people enjoy, understand and care for North East nature.

The role will support the Director and Board of Trustees to ensure the charity is legally compliant, as well as delivering high standards of financial and membership administration. Key to this role is bringing a commercial sensibility to work with the Director to grow and diversify income generation to achieve financial sustainability

We are looking for an individual who:

· Has experience of working with financial systems and processes, budget management and financial planning

· Has excellent numeracy skills

· Has excellent organisational, time management skills and IT skills
