Job description
Mission Summary
To support the Director with financial analysis and report creation, Mergers and Acquisition activity and market intelligence gathering.
This comprehensive role will allow you to experience the full due diligence process of an acquisition project and eventually participate to the integration phase of the potential company.
Overview
M&A
- Financial auditing phase
- Financial review of the accounts
- Financial review of the contract project
- Due diligence progress management and monitoring
- Follow up of the legal, contract and HR due diligence
- Integration phase
- Depending on the progress of the acquisition project you may be able to participate to the integration process of the new company into the group.
Finance and Control
- To own and build out valuation models for prospective acquisition targets, using financial statements and management accounts to suggest areas to review and discuss with CFO.
- To understand existing intelligence tools and review alternatives to ensure that the Company has easy access to high quality data.
- Gain exposure to accounting and consolidation tasks that are typically undertaken by a Holding company of a Group
- To assist the CFO in writing monthly and quarterly commentary on the state of the UK economy.
- Have an insight into Internal Control and Governance process and procedures
Person Specification
- Degree in Finance/ Engineering studies and / or a Business degree.
- You are a self-driven and curious individual who loves working as part of a small team.
- A good level of English is crucial for this role.
- Great interpersonal skills
- An analytical mind, capable of dealing with numerical data
- Interested in finance and gaining experience in the field
- Good IT skills and the ability to learn and use new systems quickly
- Good knowledge of Excel
