The role works within the Supply Chain and Logistics Finance team and is responsible for supporting the Logistics Strategy and Change team. This role is responsible for creating the assets required to effectively business partner, focussing on value creation and collectively strengthening our performance. The job holder will provide insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders, aiming to influence and drive decisions and actions that improve the bottom line. This individual will support the Finance Managers and Head of Finance for Logistics Strategy and the wider Finance team as required.
What you need to do
- Run and interpret management reporting to provide timely insight, analysis and commentary to stakeholders
- Be able to build an understanding of an external perspective and use it to engage Finance colleagues
- Support on building and updating financial modelling in excel in order to support our strategic decision making, ensuring we have high-level financial rigour.
- Work cross functionally across finance and the wider business to support the strategy workstreams. Ensuring we are supporting the planning, modelling and delivery of key strategy projects.
- In line with timelines and processes set by FP&A, work with the business to manage Forecasting, LV, Budgeting & Q2F for P&L Savings and Capital
- Support business cases and post implementation reviews
- Support the wider team on other Finance processes and budgets as required
- Attend business review meetings supporting our Stakeholders as needed
- Success in this role will mean supporting the business in making decisions that enhance performance to drive incremental income for the business, improving ROI performance and managing cost lines effectively
What you need to know and show
- Professionally Qualified Accountant (ACCA/ACA/CIMA), or studying towards qualification
- Strong Excel and numerical skills, with an aptitude for turning data into analysis and insight and being able to clearly articulate this through your communication
- Strong commercial acumen
- To have a good track record of strong financial control, but also the ability to maintain such an environment
- Team player, able to work effectively within frameworks without direct supervision
- Effective communicator with all levels of stakeholders, including audiences of varying financial and commercial acumen
- Self-motivated team player, able to work autonomously, prioritise with good problem-solving abilities
- Must have a strong eye for detail and accuracy

- Application of Finance principles, guiding our non-Finance business partners on the proper application and impact
- Application of appropriate judgement in work of an ambiguous or complex nature
