Your role and responsibilities
This role is seen as an important step in the Finance department’s ability to provide meaning analysis to the wider business as we continue to grow. This will be done by assisting the Finance Business Partner with extraction and analysis of data and communication to stakeholders.
The ultimate purpose of this role is to help the Group, from Executive Board through to front line staff, understand and appreciate the importance of the Key Performance Indicators and how they help drive the objectives of the Group.
The candidate should be commercially aware, understanding and anticipating the needs of both operations and management. Day to day working closely with the Finance Business Partners (FBP’s) and wider finance teams.
The Finance Analyst will :
- Provide the FBP with timely, accurate and useful information that should help provide the wider business an understanding of the risks and opportunities that exist within their specific business units
- Assistance in Period end and Year end tasks to help the wider Commercial Finance team to deliver Group accounts within strict deadlines
- Production of Period end reporting packs to individual business units, prior to Senior Leadership Team meetings
- Assist in the development and upkeep of forecasting and budget models
- Help with preparation of presentations to different stakeholders in the business (both finance and non-finance trained)
- Other ad hoc activities in support of the FBP including standing in for, or representing the FBP at site meetings if required
