JOB TITLE: Finance Analyst
SALARY: £26,980 - £28,400
LOCATION: Edinburgh
HOURS: Full time
WORKING PATTERN: Hybrid, 40% (or two days) in an office site
About this opportunity:
This is a 9 month fixed-ter opportunity within the Statistical Reporting team. The team prepares and submits consolidated Bank of England (BofE) Statistical Returns, FCA / PRA Regulatory and Retail Regulatory returns to UK Finance for the three main Banking Entities and Bank Holding Companies within the Group, together with associated queries and governance.
You'll join us in Group Finance Support (GFS), a team of c600 colleagues within the Finance Division, providing centralised support and expertise to the rest of Finance and the Business.

We’re looking for someone who can:
- work with the team to ensure returns are delivered to the Regulator on time and within a robust control framework.
- deliver processes and controls within your responsibility.
- support management to proactively engage with relevant change projects to ensure delivery to the Regulator is maintained.
- be innovative in finding opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Support management in their work with key internal partners (LBCM, CAM, Retail BI & Platforms).

What you’ll need:
Essential:
- Strong analytical skills and the passion to contribute to the success of the team.
- A desire to improve existing processes through continuously challenging what we do and how we do it.
- A problem-solving approach with excellent investigative skills.
- Competent user of Finance Systems and Software
- Good communication skills, excellent organisational ability and able to operate independently or as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Experience working in a Finance function.
- Statistical Reporting experience.
- Experience using technology and tools to enhance analysis.
