Reporting to the Financial Controller, the Finance Administrator will perform a wide range of day–to–day accounting tasks and procedures to maintain the financial health of the company, ensuring accurate records and compliance with company policy and regulations.
The Finance Administrator will have high level of ethics, integrity, and accountability.
Main Responsibilities
- Prepare and post receipts, deposits, purchase orders, invoices, refunds, and other standard bookkeeping tasks.
- Manage accounts receivable and accounts payable.
- Review and process reimbursements.
- Prepare, track, and reconcile ledgers and budgets.
- Participate in the payroll process.
- Create financial reports as applicable.
- Identify and address account discrepancies.
- Run and update databases.
- Develop and streamline operational efficiencies.
- Contact delinquent accounts.
- Stay current with all regulations, requirements, and laws.
About You
As an experienced Finance Administrator, you will possess:
- A solid understanding of bookkeeping procedures including crediting and debiting appropriate accounts, posting entries to ledger accounts, and reconciling accounts.
- Proven work experience as a finance administrator or similar.
- Practical experience with accounting software (such as Xero), spreadsheets (such as MS Excel), and databases.
- Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new software and processes.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently, whilst also operating effectively as part of the Finance Team.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet all deadlines.
- The highest standards of compliance and confidentiality.
- Based in the UK.
