Job Summary
We are currently recruiting for a Finance Administrator. The role is to be based at our established Finance Centre in Riccarton, Edinburgh. The role is equally suited to someone with experience of a similar role or alternatively somebody wishing to join our team at entry level to develop a long-term career. Known internally as EASST (European Accounting & Shared Services Team), EASST supports a number of key regions across Europe including UK, Ireland, Germany, Netherlands, France. EASST offers a platform to join a dynamic and fast paced organisation with the opportunity for professional growth and development.
Treasury Operations is a key component in our operational model that administers CRL cash for all European Companies in Charles River and will sit alongside several specialist subject matter experts; Accounting, VAT, Corporation Tax, Controls, Treasury and Projects. EASST continues to grow and develop as a valued partner to the business as the strategic plan is implemented.
The Finance Administrator will be part of a small team within the European Banking Centre of Excellence, delivering banking processes for all CRL companies throughout Europe. As part of the role you will interact with internal and external customers on day-to-day banking queries and various business and finance stakeholders, to ensure process delivery expectations are met.
- Perform bank reconciliations in line with entities requirements for sterling and currency accounts
- Review daily bank balances and prepare weekly cashflow forecasts
- Ownership to ensure all entities have funding when required
- Process bank transactions to meet month end deadlines
- Facilitate Multi-currency banking payments, including transfers between entities are made in time
- Update Weekly Bank Tracker
- Support European Banking Senior Staff with cash repatriations and monthly netting payments
- Support European Banking Reporting
- Support European Treasury Manager with ad adhoc project work
- Assist with maintaining our travel and expenditure system, including reconciliation, audits and accounting entries
- Assist with company credit card general admin and cardholder support
- Ongoing audit of all tasks completed to ensure fully compliant, adhering to company procedures and Sox controls at all times.
- Previous experience in a similar position is preferred but not essential
- Accuracy and attention to detail

- Ability to work within a fast paced, deadline driven and evolving environment
- Language skills would be beneficial but not essential
The starting salary for the role is £28,935.00.
Internally this role will be referred to as ‘European Banking Analyst’.
