Our finance department have the opportunity for a Finance Administrator Apprentice to join the team and benefit from a supportive learning environment.
This is an exciting opportunity to join Walker Morris and be responsible for day-to-day support within the credit control team and wider finance department.
As the finance administrator apprentice you will assist credit control to chase outstanding debt, manage and organise the credit control mailbox and support the team with other duties as required.
You will study with Babington to achieve Level 3 Financial Services Administrator.
What will the apprentice be doing?
- Processing of all invoice payments received electronically or by cheque through our System (Aderant)
- Receipts / payments to be noted on our collection system (Innovation)
- Recording on the system remittance advices that come in via email/post
- Actioning internal emails in an efficient and timely manner
- Assisting credit control to chase outstanding debt
- Managing and organising the credit control mailbox
- Other duties as required
- To ensure that information is handled in accordance with the firm’s policies and procedures relating to information security
- To encourage a security conscious culture within the firm, by supporting and engaging with the firm’s initiatives
- To proactively and promptly report any concerns/issues relating to information security
- To assist the firm in achieving its security objectives which are published in the information security manual on Reach
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 3 Financial Service Administrator Apprenticeship Standard.
- Remote delivery
- 18 month duration with 15 months of the learning period and 3 months end point assessment
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- The right candidate may progress into a permanent full time role
