Finance Administration Assistant
Castle Donington
We currently have an exciting role for a Finance Administration Assistant, providing an excellent opportunity to join the Moran Logistics team at our Castle Donington site. The role works days, full time
Reporting directly to the Financial Controller the purpose of this role is to ensure the administration needs of the company are effectively managed and support the ongoing company requirements.
This role is also responsible for supporting the Finance team with collating and processing of information and accounting documents.
- Processing purchase invoices daily to track costs
- Daily and Weekly PO Processing
- Processing of bank transactions on the banking system and in the Finance System
- Processing financial transactions ( invoices and journals) in the Finance system.
- To accurately record all holidays
- To ensure all invoices are allocated correctly and have the appropriate authorisation
- Any other duties deemed reasonable and appropriate
- The job holder will undertake a variety of generalist and administrative duties to provide support to the business
Health & Safety:
- To ensure you follow safe working practices.
- To promptly report all accidents and incidents to your line manager.
- To assist in accident investigations as necessary.
- To ensure that housekeeping standards are maintained.
- To adhere to relevant site rules, QEHS policies and procedures including quality procedures, HACCP, safe systems of work and environmental controls.
Communication:
- To have good communication skills and ability to liaise verbally confidently with employees and Management.
- To listen carefully to instructions.
- To keep your Manager up to date with any work issues that may affect deadlines.
Flexibility and Ad-Hoc:
- To be flexible to work on a variety of duties and locations as required.
- To carry out any other task that is reasonable and within your skill set as business needs dictate.
What we are looking for:
- Experience of working within an administration environment
- Able to use Microsoft packages including Excel, Word, Outlook
- Well organised with an acute attention to detail
- A confident and assertive telephone manner.
- Able to work with minimum supervision.
- Display a positive “can do” attitude.
- The job holder will also use Microsoft Dynamics 365, so experience in this will be advantageous.
- Time management skills are essential.
- Ability to work to deadlines.
- Ability to be self-motivating and use initiative.
- Excellent verbal communication and listening skills.
- Being polite and courteous.
