Salary: £25,000 - £35,000 dep on exp + annual bonus + benefits

We are currently recruiting for a Finance Accounts Technician to support the provision of accounting, financial reporting and control in line with company and regulatory standards.

We are looking for someone who already has exposure to working within a finance/accounts-related role and looking to build on your finance career - you may also be thinking about working towards an Accountancy qualification and looking to gain experience in a large corporate organisation - if so, we're pleased to say we also offer financial study support to include time off for exams; so if this sounds appealing, we'd love to hear from you!

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertaking monthly and quarterly controls in accordance with deadlines and standards
  • Carry out reconciliations of the control accounts and systems, correcting any issues arising, to mitigate the risk of any financial misstatements or operational losses
  • Build relationships with both internal and external customers, projecting a positive image of the department
  • Complete the legal and statutory returns, as required, within the deadlines as specified
  • Develop an understanding of the business systems used to feed the accounts
  • Identify issues with systems and processes, deliver improvements and implement changes successfully

Skills & Experience

  • Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of other Office applications
  • Good knowledge of the SAP & Bex systems
  • Studying towards an Accountancy qualification - ACCA / CIMA stage 1 complete AAT Level 3 - not essential
