Job Role: Studio Technician and Videographer

Why do we want you?
You have experience of working as a studio technician and/or videographer in a business environment producing video, audio, animations, webinars or similar but you want to develop your production skills even further.
As a Studio Technical and Videographer at Wilmington plc you will be production-based, focusing on video, audio, animation, webinars, e-learning packages, training and promotional resources. In the main, you will be running live events in our BARCO studio, along with completing additional video/audio recording bookings. The work you do will be multifaceted and you will often work autonomously.

2). There will be some travel required, when supporting off-site productions.
A bit about us.
As part of our Media team, your key responsibilities will be to run and maintaining a fully equipped virtual classroom/recording studio including the management of the studio calendar, other daily tasks and bookings and, the maintenance of electronic equipment within it.
You will also be required to build modern, high standard animation/motion graphics so you will need to have experience of translating ideas into engaging visuals (using Adobe After Effects).
Other areas of responsibility are:
- Editing videos & liaising with clients optimally on projects.
- To translate briefs, ideas & storyboards into engaging visuals.
- Setting up, filming and post-producing multi-cam productions.
We are looking for someone who can think creatively, enjoys working autonomously, is self-sufficient and able to learn at a fast pace.
You must also be willing to travel occasionally to help with offsite productions.
Essential and desirable capabilities:We always support colleagues to develop their skills but to be successful in this job you really do need to already be able to tick most of these boxes...
We know it’s not a skill, but the successful candidate must have permission to work in the role’s location by the start of their employment.
You will also need;
- Sufficient experience of working as a videographer is critical (Showreel and references may be requested as part of our recruitment process)
- Advanced Adobe Suite software knowledge (e.g. Adobe Premier Pro, After Effects). Illustrator, Photoshop & Audition are not essential but are beneficial.
- Intermediate camera operator experience and knowledge, using any camera with ease and able to carry out multi-cam shoots on their own if necessary.
- Understanding of basic lighting/sound equipment and setups.
- Ability to shoot offsite at various locations and adapt to surroundings.
- Excellent time management & task prioritisation skills.
- Working understanding of still photography/DSLRs.
- Intermediate experience in using live streaming software’s e.g. Zoom, vMix or any other similar softwares.
- Professional, friendly and punctual attitude to their job and others.
- Ability to work at a fast pace (fast turnaround for editing work at high quality).
