Videographer
This is a full time position that provides a salary commensurate with experience and outstanding benefits in a truth and grace filled work environment.
The Videographer is responsible for creating, producing, helping direct, and editing videos while ensuring all videos align with the goals, mission, and brand standards of HPUMC. This person has the opportunity to create multimedia content for sermon series, promotional announcements, special events, and stories or testimonies for church members and staff. The ideal candidate is a strong filmmaker who also shows remarkable creativity, initiative, and accountability.

FLSA Status: Exempt
Campus: Mockingbird
Working Hours: This is a full-time position working at least 36 hours per week.
Anticipated Schedule: Monday- Thursday 8:30 am – 5 pm; Fridays 8 am – Noon.
During certain times of the year additional hours and days may be necessary to meet the job's demands. All church staff will be asked to support and serve for religious holidays and worship services including Christmas Eve and Easter.
Job Responsibilities and Duties:
- Proactively seek ways to improve quality of videos for HPUMC
- Responsible for meeting all video pre-production, shoot, and post-production timelines
- Collaborate closely with the Senior Videographer, Director of Creative, Communications, & Production as well as the creative team, internal ministries, and stakeholders to produce the most effective video content
- Work closely with the Director of Creative, Communications, & Production, Senior Videographer, Content & Communications Manager, and the creative team to develop and implement video solutions
- Record and edit video and sound projects, including capturing/importing media, organizing raw media, editing footage and sound files, inserting graphics and titles, adding music/voice-over
- Juggle various projects and handle tight deadlines in a fast-paced agency-style environment
- Stay abreast of the latest tools and software to produce the best work possible
- Ensure timely, accurate completion of assigned projects
- Manage the upkeep and storage of all video equipment/assets
- Capture footage/stills at special events and other assignments as needed
- Manage video library/archival system for videos
- Ensure all products align with the goals, mission, and brand standards of HPUMC
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Desired Skills:
Bachelor’s or Associate’s degree in video production or a related field is strongly preferred
- Video production experience required
- Film reel of previous work that displays a high level of production capability
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of video equipment and software
- Knowledge of interviewing/green screen lighting techniques and all aspects of post-production
- Proficiency with audio for video production techniques (sound, video, and lighting)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, and the ability to work successfully in a team environment
- Ability to take the initiative and exhibit strong organizational abilities required
- Accustomed to working in an environment requiring multi-tasking and changing project priorities
- Animation experience is a plus

- Adobe Creative Suite
- Asana or other project management software

Other Qualifications: Must be a committed Christian, with a church home, who is comfortable working in a United Methodist Church and willing to spend occasional Sundays onsite in order to understand HPUMC firsthand.
