Job description
Greenville University is seeking a detail and customer service oriented Records Coordinator in the Academic Services - Records office, reporting to the Registrar.
- Responsive, friendly, and courteous towards students, prospective students, parents, and employees in other offices.
- Be familiar with the academic policies of the university.
- Ensure that transfer policies are consistently applied.
- Evaluate all transfer work and enter it into Jenzabar database.
- Add all Proficiency, AP, CLEP, and transfer work onto student’s transcripts.
- Verify all transfer transcripts have been received and are available in student’s electronic file (Etrieve).
- Maintain records and registrations including grade entry and incomplete grades.
- Serve as the liaison between the Veteran’s Administration and students who are veterans including certifying VA students, monitoring credits monthly, maintaining files, reconcile tuition payments to GU, and preparing and providing information for VA Audit and IL State approving agency audit. Also regularly meet and communicate with students and their families.
- Represent the Records Office on the Commencement Committee.
- Work occasional Saturdays for New Student Orientation, Pre-Panther Registration Days, and Commencement activities.
- Other duties as assigned by the Registrar.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelors degree preferred
Experience: Minimum one to two years of office experience; prior Records Office experience preferred.
Attitude/Characteristics/Technical Skills:
- Strong personal Christian faith commitment.
- Excellent ability to focus on details (such as are required for proofreading).
- Comfortable with technology, experience with data entry systems, adaptable and willing to learn new systems.
- Demonstrated proficiency with spreadsheets and database programs (e.g., Excel, Word, Jenzabar).
- Excellent communication and people skills.
- Ability to function in a fast-paced environment, multi-tasking skills are essential.
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and motivated to complete tasks on time and of high quality
