This is an exciting opportunity for a National Field Trainer to join our team.
As a National Field Trainer, you’ll play a part in keeping some of the UK’s biggest brands
on the road, by ensuring that all technicians have the correct level of training and CPD.
You will implement, maintain, and deliver effective training and assessment programmes for both new and existing technicians, ensuring quality, safety and productivity are achieved consistently, whilst embracing technical innovation.

Role & Responsibilities
- Gain an IMI Awards assessors pin number and assess technicians to IMI industry standard qualifications & accreditations.
- Design, produce & deliver training programmes to the agreed standard at our Leeds-based training academy, or on a mobile basis nationally (some overnight stays will be required in line with business requirements).
- Assess skill level of new and existing technicians within a standardised assessment programme.
- Lead group training activities cascading training material, in order that technicians receive regular and effective training to ensure they remain abreast of innovation and new working practices.
- Monitor and report on training delivered and further training requirements to technicians.
- Work proactively with Line Managers to highlight and improve technician skill levels, utilising performance data and feedback to identify training requirements.
- Train in new products, tools, and equipment to maximise quality and productivity.
- Develop and utilise mobile assessments.
- Evaluate own training activities and make amendments and/or improvements as necessary.
- Accurately measure the impact of the training provided.
- Promote internal and external qualifications / certificate of achievement.
- Contribute to the delivery of business projects and improvement programs (e.g. new systems implementation by delivering and evaluating training activities).
- Act as a technical champion conveying and reinforcing company standards.
- Ensure Health and Safety policies and procedures are compliant.
- Maintain and develop own skill levels with reference to technical matters, working practices and innovation.
- Make recommendations for new technical innovations and working practices.
- Ensure high standards, in self and other in respect of new technical innovations and working practices.
- Share and create a best practice environment within the business.
- Contribute to the overall business ensuring high safety, productivity and quality levels
Skills & Experience
- Proven track record of planning, organising, and delivering training courses
- Current knowledge of learning and development within the automotive environment
- Experience of assessing candidates on IMI Qualifications & Accreditations
- Hold an IMI level 3 or higher qualification in Hybrid/EV
- Mechanical Knowledge of LCV and HGV Vehicles
- Passionate about driving improvements
- Customer driven with excellent communication skills

Salary: £35,000.00-£39,000.00 per year
