Job description
We currently have a new recruit incentive bonus, which is :
Signing on bonus (£2,000)
A new employee (from 5 May 2023) will be immediately paid a £500 bonus.
After 3 months continuous service with Halifax Fan, with no unauthorized absences, a further bonus of £500 will be paid.
After a further 3 months service, again with no unauthorized absences (6 months in total) they will receive a further £1,000 bonus.
The bonus will be paid via payroll on the appropriate week/month.

Purpose of role:
To assemble, test, install, maintain and service Halifax-fan Product and assemblies.
Quality, Cost, Delivery & Safety (QCDS) responsibilities
- Quality: Know the design sold, and ensure the tested assembly meets that design 100% of the time. If unsure STOP, clarify and disposition appropriately.
- Cost: Work closely with all other departments to share areas of concern with Build Quality, and seek systemic corrective action that prevents this from repeating.
- Delivery: Know and meet the MPS agreed Test/Fitting complete date
- Safety: Maintain a no compromise Health and Safety compliant work environment. Your workspace must be 5S compliant.
Key Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Install, Maintain and Service Fans and Assemblies located in the field.
- Conduct Customer Site and Product surveys in the field.
- Test Product (Fans and Assemblies) and ensure they conform to the standards and specification sold to the Customer.
- Needs to be a skilled Fitter, and may be required to assemble Product.
- Fully Participate as a Member of the Fitting Team sharing responsibility for ensuring deliveries are in line with the MPS (Master Production Schedule).
- Maintain the skills necessary to complete the assigned tasks required to meet the MPS.
- Understand the MPS and when assigned ensure you can complete a job on time or have it rescheduled.
- Be aware of all applicable work instructions/procedures. Ensure discipline in their use.
- Ensure Zero Defects prior to release of an assembly as customer order compliant.
- Own the quality of your own work.
- Never compromise your safety, or that of anyone else. If you see or feel a situation may compromise safety, STOP and report. Ensure you know that the process, tools and capacities utilised to manufacture a given design, allow for the Job to be completed without compromising safety.
- Using a combination of 5S Boards, Visual Postings and Team Meetings, maintain awareness and transparency with all members of your Team in what is working, and what is not. The team should constantly review, measure and optimise its methods, so that Halifax-fan is better assured to meet its commitments, while maintaining total order fulfilment Cycle Time.
Knowledge, Skill or Ability required
Essential- Apprentice Trained or 3 years’ experience in the role or 5 years in any similar mechanical role. Able to work on their own using instructions in written or verbal form.
Desirable – 10 years’ experience in a similar role.
