We have an excellent opportunity for a Field Service Engineer to join our Service Delivery Team. The role will predominately be based in the South/Central East of England. Somewhere around Cambridge or areas of Essex would be ideal and you’ll be required to regularly travel within the South/Central East area.

Reporting to the UK and Ireland Service Manager, you will be responsible for carrying out service visits in UK and occasionally other European countries, covering Peak scientific, industrial and third-party products to maintain the local installed base in operational condition. Primarily covering the South/Central East of the UK, other travel within the territory will be required. This role will also be key in the day-to-day running of Peak UK service delivery.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Carrying out routine maintenance, emergency repairs, installations and training as well as general support in a professional, prompt and efficient manner to ensure total customer satisfaction
• Responding effectively and professionally to all customer requests for service and support, including telephone and email
• Providing customers with a clear and accurate service report for all work carried out through use of the mobile CRM
• Maintaining and replenishing personal stock of parts and carry out inventory checks as requested

You will bring good practical skills to this role with a methodical approach to resolving problems. Ideally, you’ll have a complete and detailed understanding of pressure systems and transportable gases.

• Ability to work under pressure against tight deadlines
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Good organisational skills
