Job description
Our client specialises in the manufacture, service and repair of power generation equipment and require a Field Delivery Engineer to operate out of their site in Washington, Tyne and Wear.
The Field Delivery Engineer is responsible for installing, commissioning and decommissioning rental packages on customer sites to the required specification and delivered on time.
Education / Qualifications
- Mechanical and/or Electrical apprenticeship Alternatively, City & Guilds/ NVQ or equivalent in mechanical or electrical engineering
- If not qualified to above standard, person must still have a good grounding in mechanical engineering and be willing to undertake training to attain these qualifications
Your key responsibilities:
- Installation of power & TC products on customer site
- Commission and decommissioning of power & TC products on customer site
- Fit data loggers & power analysers
- Attend equipment breakdowns
- Carry out F Gas checks
- Deliver generator applications - Motor starting & Variable voltage
- Carry out load testing using sigma computer software
- Deliver no break sync applications - grid lock
- Telemetry installation in field
- Basic electrical fault finding < 1500v dc and <1000v ac
- Be able to operate fleet load bank
- Commission, maintain, isolate and decommission low voltage products (distribution boards & automatic mains failure)
