The Smart Choice Metering team continue to grow, and we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Field Manager, based in the South East, to lead a team of engineers in their specific area across different contracts, ensuring compliance with the customers requirements.
Roles & Responsibilities (but not limited to);
- Controlling and auditing field activity, ensuring safety of the team through a consistent application of company Health & Safety practices. Carrying out quality audits across all members of the team during the month
- Effectively manage & lead direct reports, covering all performance management, Human Resource matters including recruitment, induction, training, appraisals, sickness monitoring, timekeeping, disciplinary issues, and performance issues
- Ensure performance reviews are conducted regularly across their team
- Install a compliant Health & Safety culture ensuring all objectives are met
- Ensure that KPI’s are met across the team of engineers
- Resource management: plan to meet team resource needs and recruit & induct employees using company processes
- Lead & motivate team members ensuring awareness of commercial aspects
- Ensure that all installations are accurate and compliant with industry regulations
- Ensure compliance with industry standards
- Liaison with key stakeholders to capture and assess requirements for future system improvements
- Ensure that engineers have the correct equipment & PPE and is checked & replaced or repaired as necessary
- Root cause analysis of customer complaints, vehicle damage & incidents, on site incidents & quality standards
- Optimise service delivery and champion a customer focus
- Ensure all Health & Safety regulations and implementation of company targets are achieved or exceeded, implementing "best practice" for all work undertaken. Ensuring that audits are undertaken at customer premises
- Analysis of data to improve decision making process and implement change to improve performance and commercial performance
- Ensure labour plans are efficient ensuring personnel is located correctly in line with customer compliance.
The essential skills and experience required;
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in similar management level position
- MOCOPA qualified preferable with 3 Phase experience
- Gas qualified to CMA1/MET1 or equivalent
- Comfortable auditing and managing performance
- Good knowledge of Health & Safety in the workplace.
