That’s why we need a brilliant Revenue Protection Field Manager to help us get to where we’re going. You’ll bring bags of energy, know-how and passion to our family of door-opening brands, including British Gas and Hive. And you’ll join a team who are just as focused delivering on fantastic results as you are.
You will lead, develop and support a team of Revenue Protection Officers, whilst supporting the implementation of strategies as part of the Revenue Protection management team.
You’ll ensure customers are treated fairly and lead a culture of safety for staff, customers and contractors within the operation as well as working to maximise the profitability of the Revenue Protection Unit through performance management of their team.
Key Accountabilities:
Set and monitor Revenue Protection Officer performance targets and review regularly, meet agreed Revenue Protection targets based on commercial awareness and develop intelligence that will enhance theft detection
Where warrants are executed ensure that the British Gas brand remains protected
Ensure that working instructions are adhered to as well as manage and drive a leading health and safety culture within the RPU
Recruit, train, motivate and develop an industry leading, qualified team of Revenue Protection Officers to meet the present and future needs of the business, developing and promoting an organisational culture that delivers continuous improvement.
Ensure field resources are appropriately deployed to achieve the maximum benefit
Ensure success is recognised and rewarded and a culture of best practice is developed
Identify and explore opportunities to reduce gas and electricity imbalance
Ensure all complaints are captured and recorded and subsequently resolved in a timely manner
Develop an environment of learning from complaints to ensure continuous improvement
Be responsible for maximising efficiency and ensuring compliance with internal policy and industry standards for your team
Apply British Gas values in all day-to-day activities
Skills, knowledge & expertise required to succeed in this role:
Detailed knowledge of energy theft detection processes
Aware of the commercial aims and objectives of British Gas
Thorough understanding of the Theft of Energy codes of practice
Ability to influence internal and external customers and stakeholders
The ability to communicate effectively at differing levels
Thorough knowledge and understanding of managing a field operation
Strategic thinking and decision making, impact and influencing skills
Effective networking & stakeholder management
Effective decision making & communication
Understanding our customer & driving cultural change
Highly motivated & self-driven as well as passionate about energy theft detection and able to convey this to others
Effective decision making with the ability to make sound business judgements where business conflicts may exist.

This is a Leadership role that will develop a work force who’ll continue to lead the industry in the detection and prevention theft of energy. You will lead a field-based team of 15 Revenue Protection Officers and be responsible for the delivery of the Ofgem Must Read Derogation Target
