Location: The role is based out of our central site at Coningsby (LN4 4RT)
Wage: £11.00 - £13.00 per work hour (42.5 paid weekly hours – 30 minutes unpaid lunch break)

Full UK Driving Licence (Essential)

Responsibilities for Cabler / Test-Rod and Rope Operative
· To work as a key member of the backhaul team within the company, with the key responsibilities of a Fibre Optic Cable Installer. This may also involve working in any work area within the company as and when required.
· This role will include working both on-site and off-site in the public space, ensuring the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment provided.
· To carry out appropriate street works practices in-line with established code of practice.
· To attend specified sites and identify appropriate ducts and poles (physical infrastructure) highlighted from relevant information / plans.
· To operate within chamber spaces and their following ducts with the highest degree of care.
· Carry out initial rodding and roping of underground cable routes, ensuring that they are clear.
· Carry out the collective installation of blown fibre tubing and subsequent fibre via blowing methods.
· To monitor and proactively declare declining stock levels of equipment and consumables when required.
· Complete relevant paperwork / evidence and forward as instructed.
· To support company staff with Health and Safety monitoring including completing risk assessment and near miss reports. Positively contribute to a safe work environment ensuring compliance with Health and Safety procedures on-site in the public space and highways.
· Have a personal responsibility for promoting the welfare and preventing harm to yourself, workforce and members of the public.
· To carry out daily vehicle and tool checks, along with associated documentation as directed.
· Maintain Quantum’s professional standards whilst supporting customers in their Fibre to The Premises (FTTP) journey, upholding professional standards of conduct, whilst operating outside in the public space.
Desirable Qualifications but not essential full training can be provided for the right candidates
· Full Driving Licence
· Unit 01 Signing, lighting and Guarding for Operatives
· SA002 – Safety Underground
· S7 PIA Sub Duct and Cable Installation Underground
· Level 2 Award in Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces
