Festival Assistant - Smoked & Uncut

The finer details:
Location: Head Office, Home Grown Hotels Ltd, Clayhill, Beechen Lane, Lyndhurst, SO43 7DD
Hours: Min 30 hour contract per week, please note the weeks of the festival this will increase (various shifts, 7am earliest start / 1am latest finish)
Contract Type: 30 hour per week fixed contract. Immediate start – 31st August 2023.
Salary: £12.00
Travel & Accommodation: We do not offer travel or millage allowances to/from head office or Lime Wood where the role is predominantly based. Mileage and accommodation will be provided travelling to THE PIG – at Bridge Place in Kent. Please note, we will also spend time in our storage unit in Stockbridge, we will encourage core team members to car share and mileage will be included for this location.
Uniform: Staff will be provided with branded T-shirts. All staff are required to wear their own suitable trousers/shorts, footwear and bring any other essentials such as sunglasses with them on the day.
Food & Beverage: All staff will be provided with food & beverages throughout the day.
Additional Information: Applicants must be 18+ due to the required hours and serving of alcohol.
About the role:
As festival assistant, you will be supporting our Festival Management with all service functions of Smoked & Uncut Festivals.
Responsibilities included, but not limited to:
- Ensuring smooth organising and operation of the festival days
- Providing a hands-on approach to the set-up and/or pack-down of service stalls and equipment.
- Distributing equipment to the correct festival locations (manual handling)
- Meet and greet/ front gate and ticketing duties.
- Maintenance and decorating of the festival
- Preparing & serving food and beverages.
- Maintaining the presentation of the festival grounds, litter-picking & clearing tables/ seating area’s
- Supporting festival goers with any generic enquiries.
We are looking for reliable individuals, with a good can – do attitude. Previous experience working at a festival or within a busy food & beverage/ service environment is advantageous.
