Job Position: Fertility Nurse

Job Type: Permanent Position

Salary: Up to £55,000 p/a

Working Hours: 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

As a Fertility Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive care and support to patients undergoing infertility treatment. Your day-to-day tasks will include, but are not limited to:

• Assisting patients in a non-judgmental manner throughout the infertility treatment process.
• Facilitating the process of finding and obtaining eggs from donors.
• Leading and facilitating infertility support groups.
• Collaborating with researchers in the development of reproductive technologies.
• Providing counselling to couples and donors, offering guidance and emotional support.
• Assisting in embryo transfers and other related procedures.
• Conducting interviews and assessments with patients.
• Educating patients and their families on medical terminology, procedures, and available treatment options.
• Serving as a liaison between patients, their families, physicians, and specialists.
• Staying updated on the latest advancements in reproductive technology, continuously expanding your knowledge base.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Valid nursing qualifications and registration with the appropriate regulatory body.
• Experience and proficiency in scanning transvaginal (t/a) and familiarity with doppler.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of reproductive and fertility treatments.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a compassionate and caring approach.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying updated with industry advancements.
• Completion of a full enhanced DBS check (Disclosure and Barring Service).
• Legal right to work in the UK.
