You will enable people with a disability to have the same rights and opportunities as all other people by providing empowering support and care to people with disabilities across Sheffield.
What you will need to bring to the role:
· A positive and proactive attitude
· Ability to keep calm under pressure
· To be sensitive to peoples differing emotional needs within different situations
· A sense of humour
· A fully flexible approach, you will be expected to work on a rota system including evenings, weekends and bank holidays
· The ability to work as part of a team and to learn from the people around you
· The confidence to work independently
· Good communication skills
· Ability to follow a written support plan and to use your own initiative
