Part-time/full-time hours available, working as part of a care team to support a man with a spinal injury in his own home. You will enable him to prepare for the day ahead and provide assistance as required throughout your shift. You will provide support with transfers, personal care, some basic house work, food preparation, administering medication and some clinical tasks.

Formal experience in care and support is preferred but not essential and other applications will also be considered. You must have common sense, be flexible and committed to your role as a Personal Assistant. Punctuality and reliability are a must. The role also involves occasional travel.
The hours:
There are 3 posts available, with both part-time and full-time positions available to candidates. Various positions available offering between 10 and 35 hours per week
A variety of shifts are available between the hours of:
  • 8.00am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday
  • 9.00am to 2.00pm on Saturday and Sunday

You will not be required to work 7 days per week

Shifts are negotiable at interview. flexibility required to occasionally provide cover for other members of the team in the expected rare occasions of staff sickness or unforeseen absence.
You must be a team player and willing to pick up additional hours occasionally where required. You will receive paid holidays and the opportunity for training relevant to your role, including all aspects of clinical duties. Successful applicants must be eligible to work in the UK. This post is subject to DBS checks the cost of which will be met by your employer.

Required skills/experience:
  • Formal experience in the Health and Social Care is preferred although other motivated candidates will also be considered
  • Must be reliable, self-motivated and well organised
  • To communicate effectively with families, colleagues and Health and Social Care professionals
  • Genuine interest in working within a caring environment
  • Excellent team player
  • Independent worker, able to use initiative and self manage time and task
  • Willingness to participate in vocational training programmes
