ECOMMERCE TRAINEE PHOTOGRAPHER AND DESCRIPTION WRITER

Sign of the Times are a leading luxury resale platform based in London’s Chelsea, with over 45 years’ experience buying and selling pre-owned luxury goods. We are looking for self-starters who are passionate about the sustainable nature of second-hand fashion and want to build their career at a fast-paced start-up.
WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
We are looking for a reliable, hard-working and confident fashion lover with a good attitude with a warm disposition. This role would be perfect for a photography student or photography enthusiast with an interest in learning all things Ecommerce! You will be responsible for photographing and describing handbags, shoes and accessories from our studio. This is a part-time role working 24 hours per week, working 6 hours per day from Wednesdays – Saturdays, with flexible working hours and the opportunity to increase to full-time hours during peak trading periods.
The Role:
· Photography: You will be in charge of setting up accessories to be photographed both for the website and for our social channels. Any marks or damage needs to be highlighted in a high level of detail. Expensive bags will need extra photographs to cover the hardware and features in extra detail. The photographs need to be of exceptional high quality with high fashion accuracy. You will be responsible to reshoot anything that is not up to scratch. You will also take multi-product shots and videos for us to use for social content, and photographs of accessories on a model. You will occasionally be required to be the in-house photographer for fashion photoshoots both in studio and on location.
· Description writing: You will be in charge of description writing for products on our website, working quickly & accurately in our shopify website management software. You will write fashion rich, SEO friendly copy that focuses in particular on condition and fit for clothing, and material, features and quality for accessories, paying close attention to make sure all attributes are correct in the system. You will have a good understanding of the pricing of luxury product and be able to search online to find recommended retail prices for each item. You will be able to become a product expert, particularly for handbags from superbrands such as Chanel and Hermes.
Website: You will be checking website content is correct and our website functions properly, making changes in our systems where needed

Requirements:
· Photography experience is essential, as is an interest in luxury handbags
· A good technical understanding of camera use
· Previous e-commerce description or blog writing experience preferred
· A passion for luxury fashion with a commercial eye for content creation
· Perfect written English
· Exceptional attention to detail
· Deep knowledge and passion for the luxury items you are describing
· Perfect track record of reliability and being trustworthy in nature
· Exceptional organisation skills with a practical and common sensical mindset
· Ability to self-start and work on your own
· A yes person, who loves people, has a happy nature and enjoys their work
· Someone who can use their initiative and get stuck in
Employment Type
Part-time, 24 hours per week working a shift pattern to suit you from Wednesdays to Saturdays

Starting from £10ph
