Job Description
Working for the editorial team for Stylist in the Advocacy Community. The editorial team work at pace producing content for our audience across all platforms – print, digital (free and paid), email, social and events.
Role:
This role supports the Fashion Director, Beauty Director and the Fashion and Beauty Writer, producing content of your own as well as assisting with the admin and organisation of the fashion and beauty cupboards and team.
What to expect:
This is a busy, organisational role that will see you working on lots of very different tasks. You will work closely with the Fashion and Beauty Directors, assisting with admin and organisation, as well as attending events for the team when necessary. You may also find yourself assisting on shoots, researching fashion and beauty features or writing and compiling your own fashion or beauty digital shopping stories. You will need to work collaboratively with the wider team, following tasks set by different editors, and work to the KPIS set to each digital article.
Accountabilities and responsibilities:
- Compile and write four Style Lists for the Stylist Loves email each week, one Stylist Loves article a week and one stylist.co.uk article a week.
- Ensure all digital content is written with SEO in mind, under the instruction of the Deputy Editor (digital).
- Attend press events as directed by the Fashion and Beauty directors, ensuring news stories/product updates are obtained at the events and pitched in the relevant meetings or commercial support given as requested by the Executive Fashion Director.
- Assist in research and call ins/returns for Fashion and Beauty team.
- Assist on shoots for Fashion and Beauty team.
- Ensure the fashion and beauty cupboards are well managed, post is kept under control and that unwanted items are distributed equally to the wider team (through giveaways, beauty sales) or to partnering charities.
- Ensure the swift and accurate return of samples.
- To originate fashion and beauty ideas as needed for all platforms of Stylist.
Knowledge, skills and attributes:
- Experience with SEO and data analytics.
- Well organised and planned, you will know how to multi-task and switch between different tasks without missing a deadline.
- You will have a passion for fashion and beauty and love sourcing the newest content for our audience.
- You will be comfortable networking, meeting new people and representing the brand at events, happily attending on your own when required.
- An interest or experience public speaking and/or creating social content for fashion and beauty will be advantageous.
- You will enjoy using data to get to know the aspirational Stylist readers’ loves, tastes and preferences and ensure everything you create is targeted at the audience.
