About us
Westfield Farms Ltd. is a family farm business near Pickering. Hatching and rearing Pheasants, Partridges and Mallard Ducks.
We are looking for a Farm Worker to join our busy team to help us rear game birds. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing a variety of manual tasks related to the rearing of birds and maintaining equipment such as daily feeding, ensuring a clean water supply, and general maintenance. The ideal candidate should have experience in farming or work within the game shooting industry and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities:
- Daily husbandry of Game birds (Pheasants/Partridge)
- Perform general maintenance of birds housing and equipment.
- Maintain records such as bird numbers, daily care.
- Ensure the safety of livestock and workers.
This is a full time, permanent job. Hours are varied, with a long working day in summer, to a guaranteed 39 hours in winter.
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: From £10.60 per hour
