We have a fantastic role here at Purovets for a Farm/Equine Veterinary Surgeon at an award winning practice in Pendle. Ideal for running, walking and hiking enthusiasts Pendle is situated in the north east of Lancashire, nestled between the Ribble Valley and the Pennine Way. Pendle is a largely rural area dominated by the iconic Pendle Hill. The Forest of Bowland, an area of outstanding natural beauty, is on the door step and the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and Bronte Country are all within easy reach. There are also two golf courses in Pendle and a sailing club on Burwains reservoir.
Our client has been established in the area since 1911 when the vets would visit the farms on horseback and offers high quality veterinary care to small animals, horses and farm animals in the surrounding areas. They are looking for a Farm/Equine veterinary surgeon to join their friendly and supportive team.
Situated in a stunning barn conversion, in a beautiful rural setting, you will enjoy great facilities for equine workups and farm animal surgery. The role will give you clinical freedom and development of your own role. Their clients are a mix of dairy, extensive and pedigree beef and sheep, pleasant small holders and sports and leisure horses.
Although experience would be welcomed, our client also has a great track record for supporting new and recent graduates and offers a brilliant New Graduate Scheme.
- Full time hours
- Duties set as 1 weeknight per week, 1:5 weekends and 1 weekend on backup
- Part time/job share would be considered
- Half day off every week
- 4×4 vehicle, laptop and mobile provided
- Accommodation available with a reduced rent and including utility bills
- Salary is commensurate dependent on experience and should fall between £32,000 and £55,000 pro rata per annum
- Generous CPD allowance which is between £1750 and £2500 with 5-8 days a year allowance time, pro rata and depending on qualifications
- Holidays are 6.6 weeks a year including Bank Holidays (Pro Rata)
