Our Glenlyon estate operates a working Farm and offers outdoor mountain pursuits. We are now looking to for additional Farm and Estate Workers to join our small and friendly team.

Having a love for the outdoors you will be equally be comfortable whether you are working on your own or with others and have a interest in working with wild deer and game, although we also have a herd of sheep, highland cows and a couple of pigs!

Glenlyon is integral to the future vision for Taymouth Castle Golf Sport Club, working closely with our Culinary team to provide produce and fresh market garden ingredients as well as arranging and hosting member and guest visits to view the animals and a working farm. Having a pleasant, welcoming manner with our members and guests will be essential.

Duties will be varied according to the time of year and weather conditions, but not being afraid of hard work and being able to work outdoors in any weather has to come as read for this job. Being naturally punctual, motivated with a ‘can do’ attitude to take on what is needed is what our Glenlyon colleagues would like from their new team members.

The role will involve working with the animals and birds as well as general labouring and estate maintenance work, there is never a shortage of jobs in this environment!


Skills Qualifications:

  • Applicants must hold a full clean driving licence
  • Chainsaw ticket and ATV ticket would be an advantage, but not essential as we can organise training courses
  • Previous experience of farm working or working outdoors would be preferred, but not essential.
  • Must be able to cope working in a fast-paced environment and be able to be flexible with working days and hours, livestock have no understanding of rotas or schedules!
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, stretching, bending and moving for periods of up to 8 hours, and lifting and carrying items.
  • Must have access to own transport due to the location of the farm and start times. No accommodation provided.
