Permanent, 37 hours per week based at Central Bristol Children’s centre Hub, Little Bishop Street, St Pauls, Bristol, BS2 9JF.
East and Central Children’s Centres are looking for experienced and motivated individuals to join our service in the role of Family Support Worker with experience of working effectively with families within the community.
Children’s Centres offer all families and children unique experiences to enable them to reach their full potential.
The role will involve working with the Family Support team and other multi agency professional partners, to meet the needs of individuals, the communities and local priorities.
As a Family Support Worker, you will hold a manageable caseload and co-ordinate packages of support for individual families. You will do this alongside the family, using a strength-based approach and involving the family and community network.
Your days will be varied. You may chair a team around a family meeting in the morning and liaise with other professionals, followed by a home visit or delivery of an evidence-based programme in the afternoon!
You will be confident in working as part of a busy team providing a universal and targeted service, supporting complex family situations and have experience of multi-agency partnership work. You will receive regular supervision. You will also promote good equalities practice and value diversity across the service.
