Job description
We are looking for a Family Support Coordinator to join our Tameside team, supporting parents with 0-5s. You’ll manage a caseload of families, finding out more about their support needs and helping them acheive their goals and move towards no longer needing support. You’ll also recruit and manager a team of volunteers, who you will match with your families to provide weekly peer support visits.
Main Responsibilities
- On receiving referrals from the family support manager conduct a needs assessment and promptly match families to appropriate support. Delivering a case load of child centred high-quality support to identified families.
- Understand family perceptions and opinions of service and recommend changes to services and processes as appropriate.
- Apply effective and timely administration, review, and monitoring of service delivery, including self-managing and applying relevant record keeping systems and data entry.
- Recruit sufficient volunteers to enable timely service delivery by pro-actively promoting volunteering opportunities and assessing potential volunteers.
- Deliver high quality volunteer training to prospective volunteers as required.
- Supervise and support home visiting Family Support volunteers regularly and provide constructive feedback and engagement.
- Understand volunteer perceptions and opinions of HOST and its operations and responsively apply this understanding so that volunteer retention is maximised.
- Ensure the delivery and reporting of services is in line with the contractual requirements entered into by HOST.
- Promote HOST externally by ensuring appropriate liaison, networking and communication with referrers, professionals, community leaders and organizations.
- Undertake any other duties that may be required to discharge the role and support the organization.
