Our Family team in Guildford is looking to recruit a Paralegal. The role will involve assisting a busy team on a broad range of family matters including financial disputes and complex disputes concerning arrangements for children. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise, empathy, good IT skills, and will be passionate about family law. Previous experience of family law is desirable but not essential. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who is looking for high quality work in a supportive and collegiate team.
- Have a Degree or CILEX qualification
- Have excellent oral and written communication skills
- Be IT literate and a confident user of MS office
- Have the ability to manage a busy workload and excellent organisational skills
- Have the ability to work either alone or collaboratively with other team members
- Have confidence in client facing meetings and communications
- Have attention to accuracy and detail
- Be a collaborative team member with the ability to build relationships quickly with a wide range of people
- Be receptive to facilitate and support change
- Be flexible, reliable and pragmatic and have a problem-solving approach
- Be comfortable working under pressure with the ability to plan and prioritise work; have an appreciation of fee earner needs and constraints; and be commercially aware
