Job description
The Families Information Coordinator helps parents and carers to find the childcare and early years education they need. The role is a job-share with an existing partner. Up to 25 hours per week are available at this time, and these can be worked flexibly over a minimum of four days Monday to Friday. You will be part of a small team in the Early Years and Childcare Service, with an office at Papworth Everard, other workplace locations around the county and the technology to work from home whenever convenient.

What will you be doing?You will be responding to emails and phone calls, linking with colleagues in other teams and services inside and outside the Council, and using the web and social media to communicate and promote the Families Information Service as a one-stop shop for families. You will also be ensuring that the Council's public childcare directory is up-to-date as information is received from Ofsted and by keeping in touch with providers.
About youYou will be a good communicator in a variety of formats, on the phone and email. You will be comfortable writing text to promote new initiatives, for web posts and other formats. You will know how to use office software to manage your time, connect with colleagues using Microsoft Teams or similar, to present information and to organise and analyse data. You will be good at managing your time and flexible to respond to queries and deadlines.
You will know your way around childcare and the duties of councils in relation to providing childcare information, as well as how to handle personal data in a secure and sensitive way.
