A rare opportunity to gain arts administration experience in a busy vibrant faculty has arisen for the post of Faculty Operations Officer in Art & Design.
Working in a creative and dynamic office, you will work closely with the Head and Deputy Head of Faculty to provide coordination and administrative support to the faculty staff and students and will have a pivotal role in the smooth running of the Faculty. The role is perfect for an adaptable administrator and multi-tasker who enjoys working in a large team. The successful candidate will be based in the Centre for Creative Industries opposite Exeter Central train station.
We are looking for someone who is highly organised with excellent communication skills, who is able to multi-task, produce work to an accurate, high standard and have a flexible, confident approach to working within a busy environment. As the first point of contact for many of our students, excellent customer service skills are crucial for this role. You will have the ability to work on your own initiative and to take responsibility for the efficient running of the administration of the Faculty.
You will need to be confident in using a range of IT packages including Microsoft 365. You will receive training on how to use various college systems for timetabling and student online payments, so the ability to learn and adapt to new packages is essential. We are seeking someone who embraces new opportunities and has a willingness to learn new skills with the support of our team and a mentor.
Experience of supervising / coaching and supporting others is desirable for this role.
