As European Head of Corporate Real Estate at CoStar, you will manage all aspects of our European headquarter offices at the Shard and take responsibility for the management of all other UK and European offices including Paris, Freiburg, Frankfurt, Madrid. You will be reporting to the US VP of Facilities, with a dotted line to the European Manager Director, and will have direct reports based in London, Paris, Freiburg and Madrid. You will be connected and working with colleagues in the US facilities team, and across Europe and APAC.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Office management
-
General management of all aspects of the UK and Europe offices, including
- Workplace organisation structure, including development, hiring, and managing of workplace staff in UK/Europe
- Facilities operations, to provide a productive, healthy, safe, and enjoyable workplace
- Annual facilities budget, including all lease, operating, and capital expenses and cost management
- Portfolio management and strategy, to ensure seating capacity and leases are proactively managed and optimized
- Develop and implement CoStar Group office standards, and provide guidelines and support to office managers in global locations ensuring standards are maintained
- Build and maintain relationships with key CoStar leadership across all sites, serving as a conduit for strategic business information impacting space needs
- Build and maintain relationships with landlords and property management staff at all locations, and represent CoStar needs
- Ensure appropriate site-level operations are in place and run smoothly, including janitorial, facilities management, mail, food services and conferencing
- Identify and source key suppliers, oversee delivered services, and hold accountable to CoStar expectations and KPIs

Project management
- Develop and document annual capital projects plan and budget across all sites
- Create and maintain office space plans and deliver restacks based on integrated requirements from stakeholder groups
- Identify project needs and develop scope as needed, and partner with construction team to develop space requirements, budget and schedule
- Serve as liaison with business leaders to update on progress, and to ensure space is delivered as expected
- Tender and contractor selection for construction and fit out projects

Health and safety compliance for all UK and European offices (“H&S”)
- Create and maintain comprehensive portfolio-wide Health and Safety program, and deploy across all global sites
- Ensure workplace staff is trained, and satisfactory fire safety and first aid arrangements are in place at all times
- Develop annual H&S plan, and oversee adherence to all H&S requirements including permits to work, method statements, risk assessments, DSE and workstation assessments, fire drills and other general H&S audits to ensure compliance with relevant internal and H&S legislation;
QUALIFICATIONS
- Educated to degree level or equivalent
- Demonstrable, in-depth experience with managing corporate real estate or property management
- Track record managing multiple offices across different countries
- Team Management experience
- IOSH qualified as a minimum
- Ability to work across different time zones and cultures
- Basic AutoCAD desirable
- Additional European language a plus (French, German, Spanish)
