Job title: Regional Facilities Manager
Based at: Newmarket Racecourses

Hours: 40 hours per week
About the role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Facilities Manager to join our Operations team, playing a crucial role in managing, maintaining, and enhancing the operation of all buildings, facilities and systems (permanent and temporary) across the region with focus on Hard FM services whilst ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety requirements and legislation.

The Regional Facilities Manager will
¨ Initiate and lead the preparation of Asset Registers for all sites in the region.
¨ Lead the Region on the FM contract with the main Group contractor ensuring activities are accurate, completed in a timely manner, achieve compliance for SAG and are cost effective.
¨ Utilise & build on current activities to deliver planned maintenance programmes to deliver agreed standards reviewing current skills & resources to deliver successful maintenance.
¨ Establish a five-year programme of works with approximate estimated costs covering work required to replace plant and building fabric as operating life expires.
¨ Alongside wider Operations team review existing Health, safety & environmental activities ensuring each racecourse has sufficient procedures to cover all areas of risk.
¨ Drive energy efficiency & sustainability opportunities to reduce energy consumption on light, power & heat and recycling.
¨ Assist with capital projects by advising on maintenance issues to optimise project success and minimize future life cycle costs.
¨ Monitor the performance of external contractors against agreed KPI’s and ensure all works tests and inspections are carried out on time and to a satisfactory standard.
¨ Coordinate maintenance/refurbishment work with operational requirements & the need to safely accommodate large numbers of the public. Prepare all buildings & public areas for all racedays & events.
About you
¨ IOSH & NEBOSH Qualifications
¨ Facilities Management experience
¨ Budget management experience
¨ Management of H&S in the workplace
¨ Experience dealing with sub-contractors and supply chain within a complex multi-faceted operation.
¨ Building Management Systems experience
¨ Experience of managing large high value projects from planning to delivery
