Reassured Ltd is the largest non-advised life insurance intermediary in the UK with established locations in Basingstoke, Portsmouth, Southampton, Manchester, Bristol, Bournemouth and Chester.


We launched our new Advised business offering in 2021 and continue to grow our sales and support teams across the entire business this year. We arrange over 15,000 new customer life insurance policies per month with leading sales conversions and customer satisfaction metrics. The business is outbound, B2C sales from internet generated customer enquiries.


The role of the Facilities Manager is to take responsibility for the management all of Reassured’s office premises to ensure that they are kept to a high standard. The Facilities team currently consists of three members –maintenance and cleaning. The ideal candidate will be an experienced, energetic and driven Facilities manager who is self-motivated with high standards and the ability to work independently on all tasks required.

Responsibilities:

Key Responsibilities


  • Define the facilities management strategy, policies and operating procedures and communicate effectively to the key stakeholders.
  • Effectively manage the facilities team to deliver a high quality, responsive and pro-active essential service to the business including the control of security, heating, air conditioning, maintenance, mail, archiving, cleaning, catering, car parking, waste disposal, recycling.
  • To manage the use and booking of all meeting rooms.
  • Positively communicate at all times with all departments to enable the effective management of facilities.
  • Ensure all sites meet health and safety requirements and the facility complies with H&S legislation at all times, including the requirements for Fire Marshalls and First Aiders.
  • Liaise with Biz Space on fire testing requirements
  • Update the H&S policy annually
  • Plan to ensure future budget requirements are considered.
  • To manage the relationship with all landlords/managing agents for all buildings and car parks.
  • Manage the FM budget to ensure no overspends and effective controls are in place.
  • Negotiate with external suppliers to achieve cost savings whilst maintaining a high level of quality and/or service.
  • Project manage any relevant projects and coordinate with contractors to enable timely delivery, on cost and to required standard.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness and office etiquette in the office at all times ensuring any issues are managed on a timely basis – site visits to be conducted once per month
  • To be responsible for all insurances related to premises and equipment, ensuring that adequate cover is continually in place.
  • Respond appropriately to emergencies or urgent issues as they arise and deal with the resulting consequences.
  • This list is not exhaustive and will include any additional relevant duties as reasonably requested by your manager.
  • Implement an on-line annual DSE and fire testing training module which must be maintained and attested annually

  • Experience in a facilities management within an office environment/managed service building
  • Experience of procurement with demonstrable negotiation skills
  • Health & Safety experience or qualifications

Qualifications


  • Educated at Degree level preferred but not essential
  • Project Management qualification preferred but not essential.
  • Experience in project management
