Exciting opportunity for a hands-on Facilities Manager with experience in premises management and health & safety compliance within a highly successful and expanding education provider.

The Maria Montessori Institute (MMI), which runs schools and teacher training using the Montessori approach, is looking to recruit an experienced Facilities Manager who will report to the Head of Finance and Resources. As Facilities Manager, you will manage the development, infrastructure and maintenance of the Institute’s buildings which comprise an owned building in Hampstead and rented premises in North, West and Central London. This will include managing and coordinating maintenance, repair and improvement projects and ensuring compliance with fire and health and safety regulations.

This is an exciting time to join the organisation with a proposed expansion in our school to encompass ages 12-16 at a new site in London.

Key requirements include a proven track record of premises management, including reactive, routine and planned preventive maintenance, and ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements including maintaining all associated records. Ideally your experience will include working within an education provider (or a similarly regulated environment).

Based within a small and friendly team, you’ll have good communication skills, attention to detail, and the initiative to identify priorities and ensure our premises are well maintained and compliant.

The Maria Montessori Institute offers a generous starting salary plus excellent benefits, including CPD opportunities, pension contribution, life assurance, 32 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, lunch onsite during term time, cycle to work scheme and an employee assistance programme.

To apply, please email your CV and supporting statement (to be a maximum of 2 pages) to Jonathan McIntyre, Managing Director at CJA Group on [email protected] If you have any questions, please call on 020 7588 5407.
