Job description

Are you passionate about creating effective, sustainable, and welcoming office environments? Are you seeking a flexible, part-time role that values your expertise and dedication? Our client, a leading economics and finance consultancy, is seeking a proactive and skilled Facilities Manager to work three days per week. The hours are flexible—work can be spread across five shorter days if you prefer.

As a key player in the operations team, you will partner with the Consultancy Support Leader to orchestrate the smooth running of the Consultancy Support service, taking the lead on Front of House and office management operations. You will be instrumental in shaping the work environment across their network of offices, championing facilities management, and ensuring the highest standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Property Management: Make your mark across the consultancy's European offices, providing critical support in the planning and management of the property portfolio and the associated external relationships.

Facilities and Buildings Management: Demonstrate your creativity and initiative in devising and managing a proactive property maintenance programme, focusing on providing an exceptional working environment for all staff. You will also spearhead security measures and nurture contract relationships.

Front-of-House and Office Management: Set the tone for exceptional front-of-house service, ensuring these standards are met across all locations. In addition, you will manage office facilities and work closely with the marketing team to facilitate memorable internal and client events.

Consultancy Support Team Management: Work hand in hand with the PA team manager, guiding and developing the Consultancy Support team and instilling a culture of excellence and mutual support.

Health and Safety: As the firm’s Health and Safety Officer, you will be a key figure in maintaining a safe and comfortable working environment, taking on the responsibility of legal compliance, reporting, promoting a safety culture, and effectively addressing any health and safety concerns.

Additional responsibilities include backing business continuity plans, overseeing aspects of the Operations budget(s), and constantly seeking avenues for service improvement within the Consultancy Support team.

About You:

You have a proven track record in facilities management or have displayed relevant experience as an office manager or front-of-house manager. You are experienced in health and safety requirements in office environments and have impressive project management skills.

Key attributes that set you apart include:

  • A passion for providing top-tier, sustainable services to staff and clients.
  • Flexibility and adaptability in the face of varying tasks and locations.
  • Proficiency in project management.
  • Stellar communication skills.
  • Robust people management skills and the ability to inspire and lead.

This hybrid role can be performed from either the London or Oxford office with some home-working available and occasional travel to the other European offices as required.
