About The Role
Are you a highly talented, passionate and experienced Facilities Management Engineer and Qualified Electrician? Are you a looking for a new challenge within an award winning Facilities team, working in a commercial building? If so, we would love to hear for you.
As a Facilities Management Engineer, you will deliver a high quality M&E diagnostic and reactive remedy service for the commercial electrical and HVAC systems at our 3 award winning SMART office buildings located in Exeter, Weston-super-Mare and Tolvaddon, Cornwall.
You will work in partnership with our IT team to undertake minor electrical installations, re-cabling and cable management of IT systems.
On a day to day basis, you will manage our building management control systems, undertake building fabric audits and minor repairs whilst supervising our M&E and Project Contract Operatives to enable a high quality, safe, effective and efficient management control of our commercial building assets and positive colleague experience.
This role is office based in our Tolvaddon, Exeter or Weston-super-Mare office and is being offered on a full time, permanent basis. There will also be the opportunity for a flexible working pattern.
Due to the nature of this role, you will be provided with a company vehicle and therefore, a full UK driving licence is essential.

About The Candidate
- Qualified Electrician.
- Sound technical knowledge of commercial electrical systems, including diagnosis of electrical faults, monitoring and repair/reset of complex SMART building systems.
- Experience in building services and controls management.
- Working knowledge of BS7671.
- Experience with PAT testing. (D)
- General building maintenance skills, with good working knowledge of hand tools.
- Sound awareness of health and safety procedures, legislation and manual handling skills.
- Ability to manage workload, with competing priorities.
- Experience of supervising external contractors
- Knowledge of green energy systems. (D)
- Experience with PAT testing. (D)
- SSSTS or equivalent qualification. (D)
- First Aid certificate. (D)
