As our Facility Maintenance person, you will be an integral member of the Operations Team. Our aim is to make customer service our guiding principle to ensure our internal customer expectations are met. Thinking on your feet and working well as part of a team you will be responsible for undertaking facility and plant inspections, and you will play a key role in planning and complete our preventative maintenance program. You will take the lead in carrying out breakdown repairs, maintenance, improvement works as well as liaising with outside service providers to ensure the general upkeep of the building. What will I be doing?
- Carry out safety maintenance inspecting on machine guards, Safety stops, ladder inspections, legionella checks and any other EH&S tasks
- Mechanical maintenance and repair, including plumbing and electrical awareness
- Perform building decoration tasks including wall papering, painting / varnishing, and ceiling tile replacements – requires high level of competence for DIY
- Carry out buildings systems inspecting on machinery, equipment, including conveyor system
- Perform specialist cleaning tasks for IT equipment such as door entry systems, security camera equipment, turnstiles, automatic gate, and server cabinets
- Performing sanitary bathroom unblocks
- Check and maintain safety equipment such as emergency lights, fire extinguishers and carbon monoxide detectors
- Replace internal and external light bulbs
- Troubleshoot problems and issues reported by associates
- Maintain, follow, and complete maintenance schedule to ensure all routine tasks are completed on time
- Maintain maintenance room, tools and equipment required to perform the role effectively
- Perform pool car inspection and arrange delivery and collection for servicing and cleaning
- Manage meeting room setups as required
- Be flexible with working hours for occasional scheduled weekend / early or late out of hours maintenance task
- Must have a clean (manual) driving license
- FLT licenses advantageous but not required if willing to learn and certify on counterbalance and VNA trucks (working at height may be a requirement from time to time so candidate should have a good head for heights)
- Must have a good understanding or Health and Safety best practices
- Willing to be SEMA trained on racking inspections process
- Perform monthly building inspections and escalate any maintenance EH&S concerns identified
- Attend Operations EH&S meeting to report and review action items
