About the programme
Our EY Frank Hirth business area gives you an opportunity to explore your preferences as you progress through a range of unique and important tax trainings. This is an extremely collaborative workplace that supports you in delivering connected compliance and advisory services for a range of clients. From day one, you’ll become the main contact for our clients – an opportunity many at other firms wait years to enjoy. What will you be doing?
- Specialising in either UK Tax or a dual handler (UK/US Tax) role depending on your preference.
- In your specialist area, working with start-up companies, large corporations and high-profile individuals.
- Receiving on-the-job learning, working closely with other tax assistants and tax managers.
- Gaining practical experience in different areas of tax through complex client work.
How is it structured?
Join us on this graduate programme and you’ll work towards an Association of Taxation Technicians (ATT) qualification and potentially the Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA) accreditation.
We'll provide you with an extensive induction plan during your first six weeks, continuous training, team building exercises, a careers counsellor and a network of mentors who will help you to reach your potential. You'll can also work with local and international clients on their complex tax needs.
Year one
Complete tax compliance work, prepare tax returns and develop your experience and knowledge through on-the-job structured training in a supportive team.
Year two
Continue to develop commercial awareness, work with budgets and liaise with clients and government departments.
Year three
Have a deep understanding of UK or UK/US Tax to lead tax returns, identify issues, create innovative solutions and coach new joiners.

Are you eligible to apply?
We operate an open access policy, meaning we don’t screen out applications on your academic performance alone. You will, however, need to be working towards an honour’s degree in any subject, have a minimum of grade 4/C GCSE (or equivalent) in English Language and Maths, and three A-levels/Five Highers (or equivalent).
