Location: Shelah Road, Halesowen, West Midlands, B63 3XL
Working Hours: 40 hours per week Monday to Friday, with 1 in 4 Saturdays
(Job share and flexible working considered)
Main duties & responsibilities
As an External Salesperson, you will use your product knowledge along with sales skills to provide advice and support on a range of bespoke products, for which a certain level of expertise is required. You will assist colleagues with bids and tenders for new and existing clients, with a view to increasing sales growth within the division.
External Sales are a key point of contact for clients and provide pre- and post-sales advice. You would be expected to liaise regularly with other members of the sales team on these projects.
Key responsibilities may include:
Searching for new clients who could benefit from your products in a designated region.
Establishing new, and maintaining existing, relationships with customers.
Managing and interpreting customer requirements.
Advising clients on products or services that will best satisfy their needs.
Negotiating and closing sales by agreeing terms and conditions.
Offering after-sales support services.
Knowledge & Skills requirements
The ideal candidate will have following key skills:
Knowledge of bearings, power transmission and fluid power is preferable, however not essential.
Experience within sales would be beneficial.
Able to work well as part of a team, as well as independently.
Able to build relationships with others.
Sales-orientated, enthusiastic and motivated.
