We are now recruiting for Firefighter roles to assist and support our client’s delivery of critical services.
Help keep our Armed Forces safe and become a firefighter.
We are currently only seeking experienced, qualified and fully competent firefighters for this role. You will be asked to provide evidence of your competencies from your current role as a Full Time or Retained Firefighter, which will then be crossmapped against the Capita Fire and Rescue requirements, to produce a development plan to work through upon commencing the role.
You will undergo a full site familiarisation training programme to ensure that you are trained and safe to do your job, following which, you will be required to maintain your competencies in accordance with the CFR Firefighter Competency Management System. You will also be required to gain Security Clearance (To DV Level) if not already held and also pass a medical and operational fitness assessment.
Capita are creating a world class Fire and Rescue Service with the UK Ministry of Defence. We are game changing the future of firefighting within Defence with significant investment in technology, including the introduction of 128 state of the art fire fighting vehicles, and creating the conditions to provide Defence with a balanced approach to managing fire risk through an improved Prevention, Protection and Response strategy . We care about the safety of every firefighter, which is why we have invested in innovative training technology at our Fire Service College, providing state of the art scenario-based training in a realistic training environment. We are seeking firefighters to support the delivery of targeted prevention and protection activities, and through targeted fire safety campaigns improve people's awareness of fire and what to do in the event of a fire occurring. You will also form part of an effective and professional emergency response service that will respond to a range of incidents in order to reduce the impacts of an incident and restore normality as quickly as possible.
