About Us
The Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner (OPFCC) for North Yorkshire is a separate organisation consisting of staff employed directly by the Commissioner under the leadership of the Chief Executive & Monitoring Officer. The OPFCC are a small, dynamic team delivering a wide ranging and ambitious programme of work across policing, fire and rescue, criminal justice, victim needs and community safety in support of the Commissioner and for the public of North Yorkshire.
Our organisational structure encompasses three key functions of Commissioning & Partnerships, Public Confidence and Delivery & Assurance each lead by its own Director. With the support of her Team across these functions, the Commissioner delivers a mandate from the public of York and North Yorkshire to act upon the issues and priorities most important to them, set out in two key statutory plans – the Police & Crime Plan and the Fire & Rescue Plan. In addition, the Commissioner has set out her commitment to addressing Violence Against Women and Girls in an overarching VAWG Strategy for North Yorkshire

About the Role
As part of our Organisational Development Programme, the Office of the Police, Fire and Crime Commissioner have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and dedicated Executive Assistant to provide executive support to our PFCC, Zoë Metcalfe.
You will work in a dynamic, fast paced environment as we continue to move forward in terms of delivering the Commissioner’s vision, projects, and services in support of the community here in North Yorkshire helping people to be safe and feel safe. You will be focused on the successful delivery of the PFCC’s objectives and be a core representative of the OPFCC committed to providing an excellent public service.
You will provide the PFCC with high level support including administrative and project services and you will be the primary point of contact for all engagement with internal and external partners, and local, regional, and national stakeholder groups that the PFCC works with. You will maintain and build on relationships with all stakeholders and provide any updates on the continued work and progress of ongoing initiatives.
You will efficiently manage the diary of the PFCC, be reactive to changes and be able to prioritise workload and commitments effectively. You will support by preparing for and attending meetings, including writing up briefing notes and speeches, showcasing your attention to detail.
